Rivian has come crashing into the automotive industry, reconstructing what the standard of electric vehicles are with the adventurous and innovative R1T trucks and R1S SUVs. Boasting impressive specs for their R1T trucks on their website, Rivian states "From the hottest places to the coldest — from 130ºF to -25ºF — our battery systems were built to explore, delivering between 260 – 400+ miles of range depending on the battery pack and motor that you select. Drive through 3+ feet of water. Rock crawl at a 100% grade. Traverse just about any terrain with 14.9 inches of ground clearance. Tow up to 11,000 lbs. With a 0-60 mph time as quick as 3 seconds". They also list extremely desirable tech features and capabilities like wi-fi readiness, wireless inductive charger, 6 USB, 4 120V outlets, Alexa voice commands as well as a design entirely created for the outdoors both inside and out.
What is a Rivian?
Founded in 2009 Rivian is an American electric vehicle and automotive tech company. Based in Irvine, California Rivian has opened several facilities for manufacturing throughout the US with plans to open extensive charging stations throughout the United States and Canada. As a major competitor of Tesla Motors, Rivian creates electric vehicles packed full of the latest and greatest tech available, while planning to continuously push boundaries and lead the electric vehicle market for the foreseeable future. As of 2022 Rivian offers two vehicles, the R1T and R1S, but are working on more models like the larger A16 flatbed truck.

What did The Lab do to this Rivian R1T?
Our customer brought in their Launch Edition Green Rivian R1T immediately after having it delivered, wanting to assure the car was protected on the road. Rather than going for a clear paint protection film we wanted to take it to the next level and add matte paint protection to make it look even more unique. With such a special color we wanted to make sure you could see the launch edition green, but give it an extra sheen look. Once we wrapped the car in ppf, we tinted the windows and windshield with full S9 carbon ceramic to block IR heat and keep the car cool. The final cherry on top for this project was adding a full ceramic coating on entire vehicle including bed & bed cover, and full ceramic interior coating. The ceramic coating will add a reflective layer to the vehicle so that dirt, water and other materials will fall off of the vehicle making it easier to keep the vehicle clean.
